Back with a bang
After missing the second half of last year with a wrist injury and the first part of spring with a calf issue, Jose Trevino got back on the field and made an immediate impact, with a home run and five innings behind the plate.

Victor Gonzalez, the left-hander who arrived from the Dodgers in a December trade, has allowed at least a run in each of his three Grapefruit League appearances and gave up a home run to Luke Williams on Sunday.
Caught my eye
Gleyber Torres has often run the bases with abandon and that includes during the spring. He turned a grounder up the middle that deflected off the glove of shortstop Andrew Velasquez into a hustle double in the bottom of the third. He’s also had three multi-hit games in his last four games.

The Yankees have a split squad game at Steinbrenner Field against the Orioles at 1:05 p.m. with Will Warren on the mound and another against the Phillies and Zack Wheeler in Clearwater, Fla., with Clayton Beeter starting at 1:05 p.m.
