Gone without a Trayce.

Two days after the Yankees claimed him off waivers from the Dodgers, Trayce Thompson was claimed by the A’s on Thursday, so the brother of Warriors star Klay Thompson will stay in California.

Because Trayce Thompson was out of options, the Yankees had to place him on waivers again to send him to the minor leagues, and Oakland pounced on the 27-year-old.

The Yankees had sought outfield depth with injuries spreading throughout, as Jacoby Ellsbury, Aaron Hicks, Clint Frazier and Billy McKinney are all sidelined. The Yankees traded for veteran Cody Asche from the Royals on Wednesday as another possible option.

Thompson, regarded for his defensive skills, is a career .233 hitter with 19 home runs in 407 at-bats.
