TAMPA — The battle for the Yankees’ No. 4 starter’s job may be over.

Ivan Nova, the 24-year-old righty, pitched six no-hit innings against the Orioles on Wednesday night.

After hitting the first batter he faced, Nova shut down the O’s. He faced 19 batters, one more than the minimum.

Nova entered the spring as the favorite to win a spot at the back end of the Yankees rotation. He struggled his prior time out, but bounced back in a big way.

Nova struck out four in the game.
