The Yankees returned home to their good luck charm Friday, with Bronxie the turtle’s newfound fame on full display.
Luis Severino, Joey Gallo, Tyler Wade and Rougned Odor were among the Yankees wearing “Bronxie” T-shirts while taking batting practice. The navy blue shirts had an image of a turtle, with a pinstriped stomach, making the gesture the Yankees do after a big hit. But the T-shirts didn’t lead to a win and a wild-card clinch as the Yankees fell 4-3 to the Rays.

Bronxie made the trip to Boston last weekend, where the Yankees swept the Red Sox, but did not cross international borders for their series against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
