Yankees pitching prospects Dellin Betances and Manny Banuelos are on the disabled list at Double-A Trenton due to blisters on their throwing hands.
Betances, a righty, was supposed to start Saturday before the setback. Betances lost his first start of the season on Sunday for Trenton allowing four runs (one earned) over five innings in a 5-0 defeat to New Hampshire.
Banuelos, a lefty, threw four shutout innings on April 11.
It is believed the change from major-league baseballs to ones used in the minors could be the cause of the blisters.
Brian Anderson, an outfielder converted to a pitcher, and Damon Sublett, an outfielder, were called up to Trenton.
