Thanks to a 15-strikeout performance against the Bowie Baysox, Adam Warren was named the Eastern League’s Pitcher of the Week. The right-hander for the Double-A Trenton Thunder threw seven shutout innings, giving up two hits and walking one in a 3-0 victory over Bowie Wednesday.

Warren is now 4-2 with a 3.29 ERA since being promoted from High-A Tampa July 16. The former North Carolina right-hander went 7-5 with a 2.22 ERA in 15 appearances with Tampa earlier this season.

He became the fourth Thunder player to win an Eastern League Player or Pitcher of the Week Award this season, joining third baseman Brandon Laird and right-handers Lance Pendleton and Hector Noesi.
