A day after Andrew Brackman earned his first Double-A win in his fifth start for Trenton, Adam Warren equaled him in his first outing with the Thunder.

The right-hander, who was drafted in the fourth round of last year’s First-Year Player Draft by the Yankees after his senior season at North Carolina, allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits over five innings, striking out five and walking four in Trenton’s 8-6 win over Reading at Trenton’s Waterfront Park.

Warren was promoted to Trenton earlier this week after a stellar first half for High-A Tampa, where he was 7-5 with a 2.22 ERA, striking out 67 and walking 17 in 81 innings. He entered the season ranked as the 26th best prospect in the Yankees farm system by Baseball America after going 4-2 with a 1.43 ERA in 12 starts for the Staten Island Yankees last summer after signing.
