Yankees outfield prospect Mason Williams was arrested for DUI early Thursday morning in Tampa, where he is playing for their Class A team.
The 21-year-old was pulled over for speeding and weaving in traffic shortly after 1 am.
Williams had a blood-alcohol level of .062 and .067 in two separate readings, according to police records. While those are both below the legal limit of .08 in Florida, police said Williams failed field sobriety tests.
If guilty, Williams could face up to 12 months of probation, six months in the Hillsborough county jail, a 6-12 month driver license revocation, having to complete an approved DUI school and any counseling, 50 hours of community service, a 10-day impound of his vehicle, and additional financial penalties imposed by the court.
Michael Pineda, still rehabbing in Tampa, only recently got his license back after his DUI arrest in August.
