The series finale between the Yankees and Rays in The Bronx was rained out on Sunday.

No makeup date was announced after torrential downpours in the area forced the cancellation. The Rays make one more trip to New York — Sept. 26-28 — for the final three games of the regular season.

The Yankees now head to Kansas City for the start of a seven-game road trip, which also takes them to Minnesota. According to MLB.com, manager Joe Girardi said the rotation will remain in order meaning A.J. Burnett will start Monday night against the Royals.
