The Yankees and Red Sox will have to wait to resume their rivalry.

Thursday night’s game in The Bronx was cancelled in the late afternoon due to a gloomy forecast, the Yankees announced. The game is scheduled to be made up at 7 p.m., Aug. 3 as part of a doubleheader.

The two teams are scheduled to begin the now-three game set on Friday night.
