Derek Jeter is not in the Yankees lineup for the first of two games against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

The Yankees shortstop has been hobbled by a bone bruise on his ankle that he aggravated last Wednesday against the Red Sox. Jeter has not missed a game because of the injury, but has not returned to shortstop, only serving as the DH until this afternoon.

Eduardo Nunez will continue to fill-in at short with Alex Rodrguez hitting at DH against Toronto.
