TAMPA, Fla. — Mariano Rivera stretched himself out with two innings Monday in a Yankees’ minor-league game.

Rivera, pitching for Single-A Tampa against the Blue Jays’ Single-A squad, threw 11 pitches in the first inning and 25 pitches overall. The Yankees closer gave up one earned run, two hits with two strike outs.

“It was good. I wanted to stretch it out more, so it’s OK,” Rivera said.

It was Rivera’s fourth spring training outing and first minor league game. The 41-year old will pitch again on Wednesday against Toronto’s major-league team.

“Maybe two more (outings), my body feels good,” Rivera said when asked how much more work he will need in spring training.
