TAMPA — Mike King’s chances of joining the rotation were slim when camp opened since the right-hander worked in only 12 games at five levels last year because of injury.

He didn’t help those chances by giving up two runs and two hits, including a homer to Jay Bruce, in three innings in the Yankees’ 3-2 win over the Phillies on Wednesday.

Miguel Andujar’s transition to utility player continues Thursday when he plays first base in a game for the first time this spring against the Tigers in Lakeland.

According to manager Aaron Boone, Gerrit Cole will throw in the area of 45 pitches and could work three to four innings against the Tigers. It will be the Yankees ace’s third start of the spring.

CC Sabathia is expected to arrive in camp Thursday and join the list of special instructors.

Yankees amateur scout Kelly Rodman, 45, passed away Wednesday following a fight with cancer she refused to give into by working until three weeks ago.

“You talk about somebody who was passionate about baseball and the Yankees,’’ amateur scouting head Damon Oppenheimer said of Rodman, whose area was the Northeast. “Every day she was out to find a player and make the Yankees better. She wanted to compete and she was good.’’

Rodman joined the Yankees in 2014 as an associate scout and Oppenheimer promoted her to full-time last year.

“Everybody respected her for being a worker and caring,’’ Oppenheimer said.
