PHILADELPHIA — As the Yankees welcomed Mark Leiter Jr. into their bullpen, they sent away Caleb Ferguson.

The lefty, acquired in the offseason from the Dodgers, was sent to the Astros in exchange for a minor leaguer and international bonus pool money, The Post confirmed.

The deal was first reported by the YES Network.

Ferguson, 28, struggled in his brief time in The Bronx, with a 1.50 WHIP in 33 ⅓ innings. He also allowed five homers.

They already sent another lefty acquired from the Dodgers in the offseason, Victor Gonzalez, to the minors.

And they continue to look for help on the final day before the trade deadline.

Right-handers Scott Effross and Nick Burdi could be other additions to the pen, with Effross pitching at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after recovering from 2022 Tommy John surgery and December back surgery and Burdi still on a rehab assignment with SWB following a hip injury.

Ian Hamilton remains on the IL with a strained lat.
