Even with the Yankees still competing for a world championship, the rest of baseball just keeps moving. A perfect example of this is the start of winter leagues last week in Mexico, Venezuela and Arizona.

Here’s a look at how some high-profile prospects have fared so far.

Arizona Fall League

– Austin Romine went 5-for-13 in his first three games, chipping in a double, two RBI and a stolen base.

– Brandon Laird went 6-for-12 in his first three games with a homer, two RBI, a double and three runs scored.

– Manny Banuelos allowed two runs on four hits in two innings in his first start in the AFL. He walked one and struck out one.
