The city’s Industrial Development Agency yesterday approved extra tax-free financing for the Yankees’ and Mets’ new stadiums.

The Yankees can now secure another $319 million in tax-free financing and $112 million in taxable funds to complete the $1.4 billion stadium.

The Yankee vote passed 11-1 with one abstention. A representative of Comptroller Bill Thompson, who cast the only negative vote, called for the Yankee deal to be renegotiated because of skyrocketing costs to the city.

The city’s bill for parks and other improvements around the new stadium has jumped from $129 million to $306 million.

The Mets’ $82.3 million tax-free financing request sailed through unanimously.
