Old Timers’ Day at Yankee Stadium was a little empty today.

Yogi Berra, one of the most beloved Yankees, didn’t participate after taking a fall at his Montclair, NJ, home last night.

Dave Kaplan, the director of Berra’s museum, said Berra is resting comfortably at home but did not feel up to taking part in today’s festivities.

“He had a little accident at his house,” Kaplan said. “It’s nothing major. There were no broken bones or anything. He’s bruised up a bit. He’s real disappointed he won’t be able to make it.”

Berra tripped on his front steps and banged up his nose.

Berra spoke this week of looking forward to Old Timers’ Day and paying tribute to George Steinbrenner. Berra and Steinbrenner had a 14-year feud but became close again over the last decade. Berra, 85, always gets one of the loudest ovations when the former players are announced.

Berra played 18 seasons for the Yankees and managed the team twice. He was a three-time American League MVP.
