Catcher Austin Romine, who was called up by the Yankees on Saturday will make his season debut, batting ninth in the lineup on Monday night.

Chris Stewart will sit, after starting two straight games behind the plate since Francisco Cervelli was placed on the disabled list with a broken right hand. Romine is 3-for-19 in his career with no homers or RBIs, with all of those at bats coming in 2011.

Kevin Youkilis is again out of the lineup, as is Ichiro Suzuki. Youkilis went for an MRI exam on Monday after sitting out Sunday with back tightness. Youkilis was 0-for-3 on Saturday, the first time he had played in a week.
