The improbable rise through the Yankee farm system for Victor Zambrano continues.

A day after SWB lost starter Alfredo Aceves to a call-up to the Yankees, Zambrano has been promoted from Double-A Trenton today after winning the Eastern League’s Pitcher of the Week Award for his two wins last week.

Zambrano won both starts and allowed just one run with the Thunder.
