The Knicks survived the chaos until they didn’t.

None of the three teams that came to town with the highest chance to win the NBA Draft Lottery — dubbed the Zion Williamson Sweepstakes — ended up winning in a shocking turn of events Tuesday at the Hilton Chicago.

All that tanking from the Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns for nothing.

The New Orleans Pelicans (six percent) jumped from 7th to the top overall pick, while the Knicks (14 percent) fell to third. The Memphis Grizzlies (6 percent) went from 8th to the second slot, while the Los Angeles Laker (2 percent), moved up from the 11th slot to the fourth overall pick.

The Cavaliers dropped to fifth, with the Suns right behind them. Both, like the Knicks, had a 14 percent chance of drafting the famed Duke star.

Knicks fans, who haven’t had a whole lot to cheer about over the past two decades, were left shaking their heads. Others basked in their demise.
