Reese Turner lives by the philosophy “Heart over Height,” and it’s catching on.

The 4-foot-4 high school basketball player is becoming a social media sensation, as he leads Cushion High School in East Texas on the court.

Turner posts highlights of his team, with the hashtags “Heart over Height” and “Different Breed.” It seems to be working — his team is 26-4, with the clips showing Turner raining down 3s. He recently said in an Instagram Q&A that he averages eight points a game.

This isn’t Turner’s first foray into the public light. In 2015, he was selected as a Stephen F. Austin super-fan and interviewed then-coach Brad Underwood for ESPN.
