The Sacramento Kings want to give Al Horford a big payday, but he apparently will be seeking one elsewhere.

Horford will likely sign with a different team once NBA free agency commences, according to The Athletic. The Sacramento Bee reported that the Kings were planning on making a ‘massive’ offer to the 33-year-old center, who spent the last three seasons with the Boston Celtics.

The New York Times previously reported that Horford believed there was a four-year deal worth at least $100 million available to him on the open market. Horford declined his $30.1 million option for next season.

Horford, who spent the first nine seasons of his NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks, was an All-Star with Boston during the 2017-18 season, and last season he averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

In 46 playoff games over the last three seasons, Horford averaged 15.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
