Call Carmelo Anthony a robe warrior.

The Knicks star strolled to a New York City convenience store with his family wearing what appears to be just a white robe with “Melo” embroidered on it in silver and a red and black Olympic baseball cap. Anthony’s wife, La La, captured the outing on her Snapchat, playfully mocking her man the entire time.

“Who do you know goes to the corner store with a robe on?” she asked Anthony as she strolled down the street with his kids at his side.

Melo asked why he had to get “dressed up” to go to the store. His wife, as he entered the bodega wrote, “When keeping it hood goes wrong!” on her video.

As Melo paid from the wad of cash in his hand, his wife teased him that he “had to wear the robe with your name on it because that wasn’t going to attract any attention.”

Carmelo Anthony got a little defensive.

“I’m coming from my house,” he said shaking his hands. “This is what I wear in the house.”

The NBA All-Star recently got home from winning his record third basketball gold medal for the United States at the Rio Olympics last Sunday against Serbia. The medal may have been the only thing missing from his ensemble.
