Chris Paul’s time with the Suns might be over. 

Phoenix’s front office and ownership discussed Paul’s future with the franchise, with one option being he could be waived by the June 28 guarantee date on his contract, according to ESPN.

The 12-time All-Star would immediately become one of the biggest names on the NBA free-agent market and sure to draw plenty of interest from teams.

TNT’s Chris Haynes reported that Paul has planned on playing “several more years” and wants to help another team contend for an NBA title.

The Suns traded for Chris Paul ahead of the 2020-21 season in hopes of winning the team’s first NBA title.

Phoenix reached the NBA Finals that year but lost to the Bucks in six games.

They were bounced by the Mavericks in the second round last year in seven games and fell in the second round again this season, this time at the hands of the Nuggets.

There were some questions about Paul’s future with the club after the Suns’ season ended in the playoffs.

Phoenix had made the big splash of adding former Brooklyn Net Kevin Durant at the NBA trade deadline.

The Suns also fired head coach Monty Williams after the season finished short of expectations, hiring Frank Vogel to replace him.

Paul averaged 13.9 points per game in 59 regular-season games with the Suns.

He also put up 8.9 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from the field.

Paul spent his first six seasons with New Orleans before spending six with the Clippers, two with the Rockets and one with the Thunder.
