Milwaukee is taking drastic action to prevent the “Drake curse” from wreaking havoc on the Bucks’ playoff run.
Prior to Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday, Milwaukee radio station 103.7 Kiss-FM announced it would be eliminating the Toronto-bred rapper and Raptors fan from its playlists until the Raptors-Bucks series has ended, instituting the hashtag, #BreakFromDrake.
“NO MORE DRAKE ON KISS-FM.  Oh – its a song that features Drake?  Nope. Sorry.  Byeee.  We can’t take that chance,” Kiss-FM host Riggs posted Tuesday.
With the Bucks leading the series 1-0, following Wednesday’s 108-100 victory, Milwaukee isn’t taking chances when it comes to Drake, especially after the trash-talker extraordinaire reversed the so-called curse by wearing 76ers shorts in Game 7 of the semifinals between the Raptors and the Sixers. Kawhi Leonard’s game-winning shot propelled Toronto to the next round.
The Bucks are not alone. British boxer Anthony Joshua appears to be one of the latest victims as his June 1 fight against American Jarrell Miller was scrubbed as a result of failed drug tests, which Miller has contested.

Joshua, who originally captioned a photo of himself and Drake in March, “Bout to break the curse 🦉 #June1st,” doubled down on the curse’s existence during a recent appearance on “The Michael Kay Show.”

“You know about the Drake curse? It is real, though. Do you know what is weird actually? I took a picture with Drake before Miller got banned,” Joshua said.
Joshua will now make his American fighting debut against Andy Ruiz on June 1.
