Stephen Curry’s nightmare didn’t end when the game did Saturday, after his embarrassing performance in the Warriors’ 126-121 loss to the Rockets.
After missing a wide-open dunk with about 20 seconds left in overtime — amid shooting just 7-of-23 for 17 points during Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals with a bandaged-up finger — Curry became the internet’s momentary curiosity. Which was then amplified by Draymond Green’s mother on Twitter.
Responding to a meme of Curry that compared “Regular season Steph vs postseason Steph,” the outspoken Mary Babers Green quote-tweeted, “The internet is undefeated!”
While Green’s mother was hit with a flurry of responses, she contended she has no ill-will toward Curry, writing to one commenter: “Yo so petty! It was funny to me-No hard-No Foul! I’m ready for Steph to torch GAME 4! Oh well!”
The Warriors, who lead the series 2-1, will next face the Rockets on Monday night.
