And the NBA thinks Drake is a distraction. It has nothing on the Philippine Basketball Association.
Former Kentucky star and NBA role player Terrence Jones now plays in the PBA for TNT KaTropa and was involved in quite the conflict this past weekend.
Jones got into a dispute with the Phoenix Pulse’s Calvin Abueva that ended with an on-court fit of violence. Abueva shoved Jones to the ground as guard Brian Heruela started his drive down the paint. As Jones started to get up, he responded with a brutal low blow to Abueva.
After Abueva took a recovery jog around the court, Jones is seen doing a not-so-subtle victory dance to Yung Joc. Play resumed with Abueva badly missing a shot and tracking down Jones for the defensive rebound, clotheslining him directly in the neck.
Abueva was immediately ejected from the game, but not before he got opportunity to show off his very own dance moves.
TNT KaTropa ended up winning114-88, with Jones scoring 40 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.
