The cart finally stopped, but the story has not.

Willie Amendola, a former Texas high school football coach and father Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola, is suing Cowboys Stadium for $1 million over a runaway golf cart that him in December 2011, according to the San Antonio Express News. Amendola, and several others were bowled over by the cart during the Call 5A Division II Championship Game which his team, Dekaney, beat Steele, 34-14.

The cart started when a pylon got wedged on top of the gas pedal. The incident was caught on video and went viral.

The lawsuit is based on physical pain, mental anguish and “great personal embarrassment,” according to the report.

Danny Amendola signed with the Patriots this offseason after spending the past four years with the Rams.
