General Electric is going green — inking an estimated $7 million deal with its hometown Boston Celtics to have one of the first corporate logos on an NBA team jersey.

The green and white Celtics will sport the familiar GE patch on their jerseys beginning in the 2017-2018 season.

The GE-Celtics partnership is one of three deals on the way. The Sacramento Kings have signed with Blue Diamond Almonds while the Philadelphia 76ers are teamed up with StubHub.

Knicks owner MSG said it had nothing to report on whether the team had a similar sponsorship deal in the works, although talent agency WME/IMG, which helped set the GE deal, said there are more on the way.

GE isn’t just offering the Celtics money, however. The Boston-based firm will share data science, medical equipment and lighting solutions with the team.

GE moved from its longtime headquarters in Fairfield, Conn., to Boston last year.
