One of the most anticipated series of the 2025 NBA Playoffs begins tonight at the TD Garden in Boston when the New York Knicks take on the Boston Celtics.

The Knicks narrowly avoided a first-round Game 7 thanks to a clutch three-pointer from Jalen Brunson in the final seconds of Game 6 against the Detroit Pistons last Thursday. To advance any further, they’ll have to get past the No. 2 seed and last year’s NBA Champions.

The Celtics breezed through the first round with relative ease, besting the Orlando Magic in 5 games.

Both teams have been anticipating this showdown, but oddsmakers seem to think the Knicks don’t have a shot against the defending champs. During the regular season, the Celtics did win all four meetings between the two teams, but slates are wiped clean and anything can happen during the playoffs.

Here’s everything you need to know about Knicks vs. Celtics Game 1, including where to tune in without cable.
