Andre Iguodala is counting the minutes until he’s traded. His teammates are, too.

The former NBA Finals MVP, who was traded from the Warriors to the Grizzlies in the offseason so Golden State could shed salary, never reported to Memphis to join the team, and is reportedly willing to sit out the entire season if he isn’t dealt by Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

While Iguodala is trying to steer his way to a contender, third-year Memphis guard Dillon Brooks just hopes the 36-year-old lands with a team coming up on the Grizzlies’ schedule.

“I can’t wait ’til we find a way to trade him so we can play him and show him really what Memphis is about,” Brooks told reporters.

Even without Iguodala, the 25-25 Grizzlies have surprised the league with the help of No. 2 overall pick Ja Morant. That .500 record is currently good enough to claim the Western Conference’s final playoff spot. The Rookie of the Year front-runner had Brooks’ back.

Steph Curry, Iguodala’s longtime Golden State teammate, got involved with an Instagram post.

Incredibly, come April, Curry, Iguodala and the Warriors could be home watching the Grizzlies in the playoffs.
