The Nets — and the rest of the NBA — are about to see just how comfortable the Rockets really are with being uncomfortable.

Wantaway star James Harden didn’t participate in Houston’s first practice of training camp Sunday due to COVID-19 protocols according to Rockets coach Stephen Silas.

Harden, who has expressed a desire to be traded to the Nets, was supposed to have an individual workout at the Toyota Center on Sunday night, but Silas admitted he hasn’t had recent communication with his star.

Harden posted pictures this weekend on Instagram of himself going maskless at rapper Lil Baby’s party in Atlanta — in violation of NBA mandate for players to quarantine at home this week other than testing at team facilities, individual workouts and essential activities.

“I’m not exactly sure what hoops he has to jump through in order to practice with the team,” Silas said, according to ESPN. “I’d just say I want him here, and I want him to be a big part of what we’re doing.”

Silas was hired to replace the departed Mike D’Antoni, who is now a Nets assistant.

Harden reportedly spoke with Kevin Durant about joining the Nets. Durant recently implied he didn’t talk with Harden at their recent pickup games in Los Angeles, but never specifically said he didn’t speak with him elsewhere or that his friend didn’t want a trade to Brooklyn.
