Longtime NBA player Jason Collins is undergoing treatment for a brain tumor, his family announced Thursday.
Collins, 46, played 13 seasons in the NBA, starting and ending his career with the Nets.

Collins came out as gay in 2013, becoming the first active athlete to do so.
“If I had my way, someone else would have already done this. Nobody has, which is why I’m raising my hand,” Collins said at the time.
