Iso Joe wants to clear out space for an NBA championship trophy.
Joe Johnson, who turns 40 in June, is scheduled to work out with the Milwaukee Bucks later this week, according to HoopsHype. The Bucks currently have one open roster spot remaining as they prepare for the postseason, which begin May 22.
Johnson was a member of the 14-player roster for the final round of the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup Men’s Qualifying Team in February, when he averaged 11 points, nine rebounds and 6.5 assists in 26 minutes per game on 50 percent shooting in two games.
The seven-time All-Star hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since the 2018 playoffs with the Houston Rockets.
The former Net was close to an NBA return in September 2019, when he signed with the Detroit Pistons, following a summer stint in the BIG3. The Pistons ended up waiving Johnson a month later.
