Kawhi Leonard is nearing a return to the court.

The Clippers are planning on having Leonard in the lineup when they take on the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Sunday, according to ESPN

Leonard has been sidelined for 10 games after suffering a sprained right ankle on Nov. 3.

The Worldwide Leader reported Leonard must still go through his pregame routine before he plays.

Leonard was feeling good during non-contact work in Wednesday’s practice, per Clippers coach Ty Lue.

In six games this season, Leonard is averaging 24.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists.

Injuries, of course, have been a big part of Leonard’s NBA career.

During the 2021 playoffs, Leonard tore his ACL, taking him out for the entire 2021-22 season.

In 2023, his Clippers playoff run was cut short after tearing the meniscus in his right knee.

Since becoming a Clipper in 2019, Leonard has played in just 272 of the team’s 488 regular-season games.

Before heading to Southern California, Leonard played in just nine games during the 2017-18 season with the Spurs, as he dealt with a quad injury.

With Leonard in and out of the lineup, the start to the season has been disastrous for the Clippers.

Heading into Saturday’s game against the Hornets, the Clippers were sitting at 4-11, which was tied with the Mavericks for the third-worst record in the Western Conference.

Making matters worse, the Clippers don’t own their first-round pick this season.

The reigning champion Thunder own the Clippers’ first-rounder thanks to the Paul George trade that helped bring Leonard to Los Angeles during the summer of 2019.
