Kevin Durant’s instinct to beat traffic is being regarded as heroic.
The Thunder superstar — and free-agent-to-be — was entangled in an Oklahoma City traffic jam this weekend, alongside an ambulance.
Paramedics struggled to penetrate the hoard of cars until Durant turned on his hazard lights and snuck behind the emergency vehicle.
“We were stuck in traffic, so pretty much cars surrounding us all over,” paramedic Peter Radford told Oklahoma’s News 9. “All of a sudden, I see a silver Ferrari or a silver sports car pull in behind us.”

And just like that, the cars began to clear. Oklahoma paramedics praised Durant, crediting the hazards for clearing a lane.
“Once we actually get through all the traffic, this silver Ferrari comes over to the side and waves to my partner,” Radford said. “And my partner goes, ‘Do you have any idea who that is?’ And of course I’m clueless. ‘That’s Kevin Durant.’
“All he did was be awesome Kevin Durant,” Radford continued. “The hometown hero.”

Oklahoma City must really want its star forward back next year.
