Carmelo Anthony, who hyperextend his knee during Monday’s scrimmage, is sitting out Tuesday’s Knicks practice session.

The Knicks had listed him as day-to-day, and it is unclear if he will undergo any MRI exams.

Anthony suffered the injury when he stepped on rookie Iman Shumpert’s foot as he was coming off a screen. Anthony played for one more possession, then walked off the court to the trainer’s room and did not return.

“I’m fine, I’m fine. No worries,” he said later.

When Antonio McDyess tore his ACL in his first Knicks’ training camp before the 2002-03 season the club announced it as a hyperextended left knee.
