Carmelo Anthony and wife LaLa, the NBA’s new power couple, will headline the U.S. Open’s annual Arthur Ashe Kid’s Day on Saturday, Aug. 27.

The Knicks star, who has elbow bursitis, will not play in the celebrity double’s event — which will include actor Bradley Cooper — but will be a part of the tribute to Ashe. LaLa, who married Carmelo last July, will host the annual extravaganza at Flushing Meadows.

Defending U.S. Open single’s champions Rafael Nadal and Kim Clijsters will be on hand along with Andy Roddick and Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic.

Anthony is currently doing a promotional tour in China and said earlier this week he would consider playing in Asia during the lockout.
