The Knicks are back in the driver’s seat.

Jalen Brunson turned in a performance befitting of the NBA’s Clutch Player of the Year, scored eight points in the final 1:24 of play to help the Knicks fend off the Pistons’ attack for the 118-116 win.

The Knicks hold a 2-1 series lead with Game 4 in Detroit on Sunday.

Brunson finished the night with 30 points while Karl-Anthony Towns notched 31 to go with eight rebounds in a massive bounce-back game for the big man.

OG Anunoby added 22 points for the Knicks in the win.

The Pistons battled back from multiple double-digit deficits throughout the game, but Cade Cunningham’s 24 points and 11 assists were hampered by his 15 misses and six turnovers on the night.

Tim Hardaway Jr. attempted to follow in his father’s Knick-killer shoes, drilling a career-high seven 3-pointers en route to 24 points.

With another win, the Knicks can return home on the brink of a series win — but there will be a long 48 minutes to go before getting to that point.

Knicks take back home-court with gritty Game 3 win

A terrific response game from the Knicks, who drilled 26 of 29 free throws, including multiple late conversions apiece by Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson, to grab Game 3 with a 118-116 victory to take a 2-1 series lead.

Towns scored 31 points after a quiet Game 2 and Brunson added 29 with nine assists to lead four players with at least 20, while Josh Hart contributed six points, 11 rebounds and nine assists for the Knicks.

Game 4 is a Sunday matinee (1 p.m.) in Motown.

A huge swat by KAT
