Metta World Peace is at it again. But this time he doesn’t want his name changed, he only wants a nickname.
World Peace, who just signed a two-year deal with the Knicks, has asked fans on Twitter to come up with the best nickname possible.
“Don’t believe anyone who said I’m changing my name again. I am letting fans give me a new nick name. I am not legally changing my name,” World Peace tweeted.
In 2011, World Peace, a Queens native, changed his name from Ron Artest. He has also been known for the all out brawl he had in Detroit against the Pistons while a member of the Pacers.
World Peace told all of his Twitter followers where to go to give a nickname for him and how long the process will be.
“Go to http://mettaworldpeace.com or http://mwpworkout.com, subscribe, and submit a new nickname for me,” he tweeted. … “Good luck…;) Ill be picking my new nickname from a fan in two weeks.”
Metta has also stated in the past that he will be doing a reality show with Terrell Owens. With him also threatening to bolt for China to play for Yao Ming’s team, and to also do arena football I guess will just have to wait and see what his next move might be.
He could be starting at small forward for the Knicks this coming year.
