He arrived to the Giants the same season the Knicks ascended to the brink of their first championship since 1973. So, he is getting a glimpse how the New York/New Jersey area treats its special teams.
“Yeah, it’s a good thing,” Harbaugh said Wednesday. “All the things those players are saying there are all the things our guys are saying, and they’re experiencing success at the highest level, playing really at the highest level as a team.
“The best team is the team that plays the best as a team. That’s something we said from the beginning, and then you see it play out with the Knicks, that’s just really good to see.”
Karl-Anthony Towns, who scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Knicks’ Game 4 win, spoke about his pride in representing the Dominican Republic in the Finals.
He also said he has connected with David Jones Garcia on the Spurs, who is also Dominican.
