DALLAS — Kristaps Porzingis is headed to All-Star Weekend for the second straight year, even if it’s not for the main event.

The slumping, 7-foot-3, second-year Knicks phenom was selected to play in the Rookie-Sophomore Game on Feb. 17 in New Orleans as part of the World Team.

Knicks rookie center Willy Hernangomez of Spain wasn’t selected. Hernangomez has had a late surge, but a lack of playing time (13 minutes per game) hurt his bid, as it did for Lithuanian rookie Mindaugas Kuzminskas.

“I felt like, especially playing lately, they deserve to be there,’’ Porzingis said before the Knicks’ 103-95 loss to the Maversicks on Wednesday night. “Take the whole season and they didn’t play as much.’’

Porzingis, who scored 13 points, entered the night averaging 18.9 points and 7.1 rebounds, but has slumped since December and had averaged just 10.8 points in his last five contests while shooting 38 percent. His downturn in recent weeks, including missing seven games with Achilles tendinitis, has all but ended his chances of being named an All-Star reserve.

Hernangomez grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds Wednesday to go along with eight points and three steals in 24 minutes.

Joining Porzingis on the World Team are: Joel Embiid, Dante Exum, Buddy Hield, Nikola Jokic, Trey Lyles, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jamal Murray, Domantas Sabonis and Dario Saric.

The US Team roster is: Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker, Malcolm Brogdon, Marquese Chriss, Brandon Ingram, Frank Kaminsky, Jahlil Okafor, D’Angelo Russell, Jonathon Simmons and Myles Turner.
