Nenad Krstic is the next Nets player apparently headed for Russia.

Krstic, a restricted free agent, has a two-year deal in place if the Nets are unable to do a sign and trade by midnight tonight.

A deal with another NBA team seems unlikely, so Krstic would accept the two-year 5.78 million (euros) deal — which translates to approximately $10 million deal.

The Nets have maintained all along that they wanted to bring Krstic back at a reasonable price and his preference is to stay in the NBA. But Krstic has been slow to recover from a devastating knee injury and subsequent surgery that has hampered him since December 2006.

He will have an opt out clause, so he can return to the NBA after one year. If and when he returns it would be as a restricted free agent with New Jersey.

Last week Bostjan Nachbar accepted a three-year contract to play for Dynamo Moscow, but Krstic’s offer is from a different club.
