It seems like Caremlo Anthony can cross LeBron James and the Lakers off his list.
The Rockets moved on from Melo after a disastrous 10-game start to a one-year $2.4 million contract, but he’s been the subject of the NBA rumor mill since, especially when it comes to his buddy LeBron.
Numerous players think Melo received a raw deal in Houston; there are also plenty of voices out there that think the 10-time All-Star has played his last NBA minutes.
“If LeBron really wants him, it might not matter,” one NBA executive said. “Magic [Johnson] should fight him on it. I know I would.”
He has at least one standing offer with the Puerto Rico national team, though it is unclear if Anthony is drawing any NBA interest at this point.
