The Lakers appear to be turning their attention to Andre Drummond after Blake Griffin landed with the Nets.

Los Angeles was reportedly among the suitors for Griffin, who quickly opted to go to Brooklyn after the Pistons bought him out on Friday. Now, they are hoping the Cavaliers cant’t find a trade partner for Drummond and will buy him out.

The New York Times reported that the Lakers believe they will get “strong consideration” from Drummond if he becomes a free agent.

The Lakers’ frontcourt depth is currently being tested with Anthony Davis out with a calf strain, though the power forward is expected back soon. Montrezl Harrell and Marc Gasol are part of the rotation up front as well.

The Post’s Marc Berman reported that the Knicks are analyzing whether Drummond would be a good fit next to All-Star forward Julius Randle.

The Cavaliers are sitting Drummond while they try to deal the 27-year-old center. He was averaging 17 points and 13 rebounds per game, but has not played since February 12.
