Kyle Kuzma could help the Lakers find the final piece of the puzzle for a championship run — by leaving Los Angeles.
The Lakers have begun listening to trade offers for Kuzma, The Athletic reported Sunday, and a potential return could be Kings sharpshooter Bogdan Bogdanovic, according to the New York Times. But the Kings would “unlikely” be interested in a one-for-one swap, per The Athletic.
Kuzma entered the season looking like he could be the rising star to complement the Lakers’ new power duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but the third-year forward has taken a step back. In 27 games, he is averaging 11.8 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 42 percent — all career-lows. He has come off the bench in all but one game after taking over a starting job last year.
Bogdanovic, meanwhile, is averaging 14.5 points, 3.6 assists and three rebounds in 30 games off the bench, shooting 38.3 percent from deep.
