LeBron James doesn’t like being compared to Scottie Pippen — to put it mildly.

The self-described King lashed out on Twitter when ESPN’s Jay Williams suggested he was Dwyane Wade’s sidekick with the Heat when they won two titles in four years.

Williams quote-tweeted former NBA player Richard Jefferson’s tweet that said Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo might be a Pippen, and needs more of a take-charge star, like Michael Jordan, to get over the hump. In his own tweet, Williams wrote, “So LeBron was a Pippen with D Wade once. Nothing wrong with that until you get over the hump.”

But James didn’t like the characterization.

“Explain to me what the fux I gotta do with this subject matter!” he tweeted. “I’m over here minding my damn business preparing for Houston. And by the way I ain’t never been nobody but my damn self! 👑 S–t!”

He does have a point. As good as Wade was, James was the league MVP and Finals MVP the two years, 2012 and 2013, the Heat won it all. Pippen never did that playing next to Jordan.
