LeBron James will visit the Garden just once this season – and early. The Cavaliers play the Garden Nov. 6 – sixth game of the season – and will not be back, unless they meet in the playoffs.

According to the schedule released today, Kobe Bryant and the defending champion Lakers visit Jan. 22 – so there will be no Nightmare Week like last season. In Bryant’s last visit, he popped in a Garden record 61 followed by LeBron’s virtual 51-point triple-double that was later reversed.

The Knicks begin the season on the road with a two-game trip to Miami and Charlotte, starting Oct. 28th. The Knicks then will play their home opener Halloween Night, Oct. 31st vs. Philly.

For the first time since 2001, the Knicks will play on Christmas Day – vs. the Heat at the Garden. Training camp again will be in Saratoga Springs beginning Sept. 28th. As for the playoff push, the Knicks close with 13 of 19 on the road. Not good. Full schedule
