LOS ANGELES — Luka Doncic had an early exit from the Lakers’ home game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night because of a left leg injury.

Doncic went back to the home locker room at Crypto.com Arena during a timeout with 3:03 left in the second quarter.

It wasn’t immediately clear how he suffered the ailment, but he was holding the back of his left leg/hamstring area before going to the back with the Lakers trailing 51-42.

Doncic started moving more gingerly after a drive to the basket with just under four minutes left in the quarter.

The team confirmed in the third quarter that he’d be sidelined for the rest of the game, with his official injury designation being left leg soreness.

He was shown on the team’s broadcast being visibly upset in the back after suffering the injury.

The Lakers entered halftime trailing 59-51.

The team didn’t have an official update on his status at the game’s midway break.
