Marbury: I’ll be there
By MARC BERMAN
Stephon Marbury told The Post in an email this morning he will make his first appearance at the Garden tonight vs. the Cavaliers since having ankle surgery Jan. 22.
âIâm there,ââ Marbury wrote in this morningâs email to The Post.
In the raging feud between the Knicks former start point guard and their coach/president, Isiah Thomas had told media members the injured Marbury would attend Mondayâs game vs. New Orleans. The remark came after the stir following The Post’s story last week that Marbury was told by Thomas not to attend home games and was under a gag order.
But Marbury was a no-show Monday and The Post reported yesterday he didnât attend because Thomas never personally invited him and didnât think he was welcome, telling a friend, “Isiah’s playing games with the media.” Marbury is expected to break his silence tonight before the game.
Thomas again repeated this morning he expected Marbury to be in attendance. Apparently, this time Thomas gave Marbury a formal invite. Marbury, whose rehabbing at the Westchester practice facility, has told friends he is out the rest of the season, though Isiah Thomas said he was still holding out hope.
However, Thomas talked last week about next season’s backcourt that did not include Marbury. This morning Thomas amended that, saying about Marburyâs future that he âis still under contract.ââ
Marbury and Thomas did not speak to one another for two weeks following his surgery, according to a source.
Thomas again walked away from the group when the questioning on Marbury continued.

Zach Randolph is back tonight. Hopefully Randolph Morris will still get a run.
